Across the country today, there is a need for our public education systems to do things faster and with greater efficiency. For example, the average guidance counselor in a public school spends less than 15 minutes with each student. The achievement gap – by income, by race, and by country – continues to be staggeringly large, with no good solutions in sight.
Improved technology can assist our education system in preparing and training our children and life long learners so that they can continue to knock down barriers and climb the economic ladder.
KSI has a long history in helping students do just that. It has recently developed an application called the FutureFinder, an on-line application that will allow students, teachers, and administrators to undertake college readiness activities efficiently and effectively. Students will be provided with assistance in the college readiness process that can never be provided in the current cost-cutting environments of today.
KSI is also building a proprietary learning management system to be utilized in community colleges across the country. It will allow community college students, many with other responsibilities besides school, to balance their studies with work and family life. With this application, 50% of their classes will be undertaken on-line, freeing up much needed time during the school and work day for other necessary tasks and responsibilities to be met.
